Theresa Harold is a British-Chinese writer and journalist.

For more than 15 years, Theresa has written for publications in the UK, US, Canada, and Hong Kong including The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, Lonely Planet, Business Insider, South China Morning Post, Stylist, Metro, Hong Kong Tatler, The Week, Prestige Hong Kong, #legend, Luxury Briefing, and Narcity.

Theresa is working on her first book, a memoir about love and tree planting in Canada. Her creative non-fiction has been published in the literary journal Untitled: Voices; her poetry in Isele, Overachiever and Mixed magazine; and she has performed her poem ‘Compatible’ on BBC radio.

In 2023, Theresa gave a seminar on ‘Writing Climate Change’ at the University of British Columbia. She’s an alumna of Vashon Artist Residency.

Theresa lives in Vancouver, on the stolen land of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples. She’s represented by Kirsty McLachlan at Morgan Green Creatives.
